Indore Samagam, Madya Pardes - January 2009
Hundreds of Gursikhs from all over India attended the annual Smagam organized by Akhand Kirtani Jatha Madhya Pardes at the historic Gurdwara Imli Sahib, Indore. The Samgam was held under the auspices of the new International Jathedar Bhai Mohinder Singh Ji (Kala-Sanghyan) and the local Jota units.
The smagam commenced on January 23rd, after bhog of three Akhand Path Sahibs recited by Rahitvaan local Gursikhs of Gurdwara Panjokhraa Sahib. The smagam included morning Naam-Abyaas, Sri Asa-ki-Vaar, and Sodar Chaukni and evening Akhand Kirtan. Sewadars of various Shahbaaz Khalsa Gatka Akharas held Shastar Vidya exhibitions at various venues throughout the Smagam.
The Smagam concluded on January 26th, after a Raen-Sbaee Kirtan in which Gursikh Kirtanis, including Hazoori Kirtani Bhai Narinder Singh Ji Benareswale, and Bibi Baljinder Kaur Phagwara, Bibi Sant Kaur Ludhiana, Bhai Mohinder Singh Prabhakar, Bibi Kanwaljit Kaur Ghorewah, and others joined in sharing and spreading the fragrance of Gurbani amongst the Sangat.
After the conclusion of the Indore Samagam, Bhai Mohinder Singh Ji visited Takht Sri Hazur Sahib, Nanded, where he was honored by Jathedar Kulwant Singh Ji with a full siropa that is given by the Jathedar to prominent visitors of the Takht.
